Superhydrophobic Surfaces

While in eighth grade, I did a video on lotus leaves and superhydrophobic surfaces. D.R.I.P.S. would benefit from having such a surface on the cone part of the dew collecting structure.

Check out this video from California Institute of Technology (one of the schools I’m thinking of attending in a few years). The video shows the movement of a water drop on a superhydrophobic surface.
