Delivery and Installation is part of the EDF Evaluation Matrix for our design. It deals with Pack and Logistics Optimization, Storage Time and Space Reduction, and Low Impact Installation.
Pack and Logistics Optimization
“Weight, volume, distance and means of transportation.” —EDF Evaluation Matrix
We hope that the D.R.I.P.S. will be manufactured in the geographic proximity of where they will be deployed so distance should not be an issue. The D.R.I.P.S. could be produced in two parts, the dish and the stem, which can easily be packaged and shipped. Our D.R.I.P.S. are light and relatively compact.
Storage Time and Space Reduction
EDF Evaluation Matrix doesn’t provide a definition for this item.
Not applicable.
Low Impact Installation
“Installation that doesn’t require tools and working force that could generate indirect impacts such as high energy consumption of energy (due to electrical devices or transportation) or raw materials depletion (due to tool or products productions).”—EDF Evaluation Matrix
Our current model of the D.R.I.P.S. requires no tools to install as all that is needed is someone to screw the stem of the funnel into the ground.
