EDF Group, a French based Energy leader in Europe, has launched Watt’s Next: The EDF Sustainable Design Challenge, in collaboration with the French Design Promotion Association, APCI .
The EDF Sustainable Design Challenge focuses on the materialization of day-to-day energy efficient solutions for a better quality of life based on the efficient use of energy. The idea is to plant the seed of change in this area and thus build a movement of reflection and new concrete solutions on sustainability matters.
In that context, EDF and the APCI are working to set up a core group of leading actors from different countries and different skill areas. These leading actors are invited to set-up multidisciplinary teams to propose and work on the specific key issues of their choice during the Challenge. The aim is to deliver more than innovative sustainable products, processes and services, formalizing whole life scenarios. The selected projects will be displayed on the EDF Pavilion during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, 2012.
